Where we work

Occupied Palestinian Territory

Since 1997 we have been providing humanitarian relief in the Occupied Palestinian Territory as the communities we serve have struggled with the devastating effects of occupation, blockade and recurring conflict.

Decades of occupation and blockade, combined with recurring conflicts, has created a humanitarian crisis that has devastated generations of families in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

Gaza has endured almost 2 years of relentless bombardment since October 2023. Homes, hospitals, mosques and schools have been flattened by airstrikes and the people of Gaza are enduring mass starvation.

Tens of thousands of Palestinians have been killed and thousands more are injured or missing. More than 1 million people have become displaced, with most families forced to flee several times in search of safety that cannot be found.

Islamic Relief’s staff and partners in Gaza are facing the same challenges as the communities we serve but continue to deliver aid wherever and whenever it is safe to do so.

Islamic Relief will continue to provide families uprooted from their homes with vital items such as hot meals, water and hygiene supplies to people in desperate need.

Prior to the current crisis, our support also took a longer-term view. We assisted vulnerable people with medical care, and had supported the agriculture sector in Gaza Strip, helping plant trees that will support and protect the environment.

As needs in Gaza continues to grow, you can help us make sure that we are able to provide a lifeline to Palestinians in need of vital assistance.

Stand with vulnerable Palestinians by helping us deliver lifesaving humanitarian aid. Give generously to our Palestine Emergency Appeal now.
